I had the incredible honor of being nominated by my agency for the AdColor Innovator Award. As part of my nomination submission, I decided to showcase how I bridge the gap between professional aspirations and personal joys using my favorite medium & first love - audio narrative.

A vulnerable audio story-telling piece I wrote & produced for Yoni Ki Baat surrounding the microaggressions and racial tension I faced growing up, as well as my road to growth & forgiveness.

A collection of my pre-produced news updates for WTBU News Brunch, a weekly news show produced, organized, and executed by the students of Online Radio News (JO435). Structured like a real radio newsroom, this course gave me numerous opportunities to enhance my radio skills. From special topics reporting to show production, I developed my ability to think creatively, work collaboratively, and report on the spot in this course.

Mainstream discourse surrounding the idea of "self-care" often excludes the nuances of mental health in communities of color. I spoke with some of Boston University's black students on their experiences dealing with and accessing resources regarding mental health care. This project served as preview to my final senior honors thesis: Mental Health on the Margins (see above).
January 2019
Boston University’s campus brimmed with conflict over the arrival of political commentator and Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro on November 13, 2019. Hosted by the BU chapter of the Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), Shapiro’s event incited protests and ardent dialogue about the fine-line between free speech and hate speech, and the role Boston University plays in protecting one over the other. Once his event, titled “America Was Not Built On Slavery, It Was Built On Freedom,” was scheduled to sell out BU's Track and Tennis Center, students and faculty alike anxiously awaited the aftermath of the storm.
